Business and people have always been at the heart of Jan’s work. Driven by her desire to solve problems and improve how services are delivered, she brings clarity, purpose and care to everything she does.
One of the clearest examples of Jan’s entrepreneurial mindset was building an internationally recognised school in Africa from the ground up, created entirely from need where no provision previously existed. This ability to identify gaps and deliver practical, high-quality solutions continues to define her approach.
Jan’s hands-on, problem-solving nature also led to the development of a bespoke home furniture solution, providing a secure and functional workspace in response to the growing demand for home working during and after Covid. Her commitment to doing things properly and to a high standard later drew her into the dedicated transport sector.
Over the past decade, Jan has acquired and grown Time Critical Transport, shaping it into a credible, resilient and forward-thinking brand with a clear and values-led approach to business. Through careful team selection and a strong emphasis on shared values, Ashes Transport, a division of Time Critical Transport, delivers a reliable, kind and courteous solution to complex logistical challenges.
Mark Bond, General Manager
A lifetime in the transport industry has equipped Mark with an advanced knowledge of London, UK and Europe. Mark has extensive experience in logistics, planning and scheduling; loading and handling; sales and customer service; health and safety; training and recruitment; and of course, driving.
After a decade of developing and establishing Time Critical Transport Ltd with Jan, Mark is now the Ambassador for Ashes Transport and is passionate and dedicated to the future of this division.

Ashes Transport serves individuals and private businesses within mainland UK. Our services are for individuals and families who are looking to transport cremated remains home to loved ones within the UK. Our business-to-business services are mainly with funeral directors and probate solicitors.
We have two sites in the Southwest, Head Offices in Exeter, Devon and our transport and warehouse site in Wellington, Somerset. There is a fire-proof safe at our Exeter office for interim and secure storge.

Professional Uniformed Drivers
Our uniformed driver will collect the ashes and cremation certificate from any address in the UK, transport them by road to the agreed destination without going through any hub, and deliver them with respect and appropriate personal interaction to the recipient.
Dependable & Accountable
Fully recorded and traceable paperwork with signatures obtained at every step of the way, will be recorded online and held physically for 5 years. If required, the photo ID of recipient can be provided in addition, and this will all be submitted with the invoice at the end of the job.
